Free cancellation up to 48h before
All experiences on MeetAnInsider use a single, straightforward policy. No exceptions, no per-experience variation.
Cancel 48h+ before → full refund
Cancel at least 48 hours before the scheduled start time and you'll receive a full refund of the MeetAnInsider booking fee. The refund is processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
Cancel within 48h → non-refundable
Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled start time are non-refundable. The MeetAnInsider booking fee will not be returned.
Host's fee is always paid on the day
The host's fee is paid directly to the host on the day of the experience — cash only. It is never charged at booking and is therefore never subject to cancellation refund rules.
Common questions
What if the host cancels?
If the host cancels a confirmed booking for any reason, you'll receive a full refund of the MeetAnInsider booking fee regardless of timing — even if it's less than 48 hours before.
What if the host doesn't show up?
Wait 15 minutes at the agreed meeting point, then report a no-show via the app or at support@meetaninsider.com. You'll receive a full refund and the host will be reviewed by our team.
I have an emergency — can I cancel after the 48h window?
We handle these case by case. Contact support@meetaninsider.com as early as possible with your booking reference and an explanation. We consider genuine emergencies but cannot guarantee a refund outside the policy window.
How long does the refund take?
Refunds are processed via Stripe immediately after cancellation. They typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days depending on your bank and card type.
Can I reschedule instead of cancelling?
Rescheduling is handled as a cancellation + new booking. Cancel your original booking (refund applies per the policy above) and book the new date directly.
