Common questions
What if I need to cancel?
Cancel at least 48 hours before your experience and you'll receive a full refund of the MeetAnInsider fee. Cancel less than 48 hours before and the MeetAnInsider fee is non-refundable.
What if the person doesn't show up?
If the passionate local doesn't show, you can report a no-show in the app. You'll receive a full refund and they are subject to suspension.
How does the platform fee work?
MeetAnInsider charges a 15% intro fee on the experience price, shown clearly at checkout. This covers booking and support. The passionate local's fee is paid directly on the day — cash, PayPay, or bank transfer.
Are experiences insured?
Passionate locals are responsible for ensuring their activities are safe. We recommend they hold appropriate personal liability insurance. Check before booking high-risk activities.
